Change of Season.....Change of Color

After working in the salon industry for years.  I have watch customer after customer walk in with dark hair and want to go lighter.  This can be a simple request or a very complicated one.  Not that I am a license hair dresser, but I have have sold color lines where I learned the inner most workings of how hair color works.  Hair color works on levels and tones.  If you want a little more here is a brief breakdown of level and tones.  Needless to say, it can become tricky, costly and time consuming.

I recently decided to go from a deep violet brown to almost a platinum color.  But know how my hair responds to bleach...yes not very well and there is always the risk of frying the hair.  Never fun.  But lucky me stumbled upon a new product called TRIONICS....wow!

Trionics is a substitute for peroxide and is an enyme.  The product claims it reduces processing time when heat is applied by half.  Hey, my theory....time is money.  It also claims it is fast, safe and gentle.  Hey sold me!

This is where I tell you do not try this at home....it is a process...one that is best performed by a professional in a salon.  I used myself as a guinea pig, and trust me, it does not always work out, but this time I am very happy with the results.

I love TRIONICS...it is fast and gentle and my hair did not fall out, nor am I sporting a pixie cut!!

It did take a couple of times to go as light as I wanted...and I should have pulled the color out first.  I am truly surprised how well TRIONICS took out the layers and layers of dark color out of my hair and the condition was amazing considering I used the Higher and Higher product which is comparable to 50 volume peroxide.

So here is where I started...

And with the first bleaching....

Second bleaching...and toning....same day as the first (yes I bleached twice in a row)

And finally the last bleaching, about 2 weeks after the first

I have to say I am pretty impressed with TRIONICS!!  I used Accent to lighten my eyebrows as well.  

Moral of the story....hairdressers if you want to speed up processing, have a great line of products that are easy to work with and from my experience work with any color product I highly recommend TRIONICS.
